This is a different Anon. Personally I think any aggression you showed was justified and completely within an acceptable level for the situation. I can see where that person was coming from to an extent. I can see how they liked your set-up (that that wasn't a good argument against same-sex marriage) but then didn't like the conclusion and wanted to take it another direction. However, when you said you were unhappy about them doing that, they really should have just apologized and made their own post like you said.

I'm an only child and sometimes I just get tired of people thinking because I am in retail it means I'm something like their slave, there only to do their bidding. and no, i can’t afford an apartment in my town with a minimum-wage 40-hour work week, and my state has the highest minimum wage in the country. i can’t even afford a studio apartment at minimum wage in my town.

Yeah, there are a lot of single parents, but I would argue people who make minimum wage shouldn’t be having children…

Also, yeah, single person apartments tend to be relatively expensive because it’s 1 bathroom and kitchen for one person, so around 700$ or so. But a two bedroom apartment split between two people would be around 400 dollars a month (per person), not including utilities. I’m saying this based off of experience.

regardless of whether or not people who make minimum wage should have children, they do. it’s incredibly common.

yes, it is much less expensive to live with a roommate. whether or not it’s always possible is another story.

I just want you to know that I suffer from social anxiety and am barely grazing the pass mark due to low attendance at school, and seeing you talk about your past struggles with school always tells me that I'm not alone. I think you're amazingly strong to have come so far and to have done as much as you have done. You're an inspiration :)
