i stopped caring once i got to gimli’s axe hahaha
i’ll have to rescan some of the things on this page though because i really liked them and they got cut off in-scan!!
I DID THIS BOROMIR SKETCH AFTER FINISHING LORD OF THE RINGS AND SORT OF GETTING MY OWN BOOK-IMAGE OF HIM BECAUSE boromiiiirrrrrr
i meant to color in his hair more darkly but i suppose i’ll do that on the computer some time in the future
Sam had noticed that at times a light seemed to be shining faintly within; but now the light was even clearer and stronger. Frodo’s face was peaceful, the marks of fear and care had left it; but it looked old, old and beautiful, as if the chiselling of the shaping years was now revealled in many fine lines that had before been hidden, though the identity of the face was not changed. Not that Sam Gamgee put it that way himself. He shook his head, as if finding words useless, and murmered: ‘I love him. He’s like that, and sometimes it shines through, somehow. But I love him whether or no.’
a lot of people in lotr have blue or grey eyes and you might be tempted to say that frodo has the biggest and bluest eyes of all of them but he is outdone by one other character

how does that make you feel frodo

samwise the brave ;-;
ok apparently tumblr doesn’t want to let me post photo posts but whatevs
i will post an actual scan of this tomorrow, perhaps colored
twas in the darkest depths of mordor

World of the Ring by Jian Guo
Middle-Earth seems like it’s a pretty happening place: plenty of exotic locales to explore, elves handing out gifts, trees to ride when your footses ache, and treasure available only to those courageous enough to take it. If it ever existed in a Tolkien novel or note, then Jian has probably drawn it: his jaw-droppingly resplendent masterpieces tell just as enthralling a story as the novels they emulate… though in considerably fewer words. The lead image: “A Long Adventure with a Hobbit” is available in print form at Jian’s DeviantArt.
These are astounding!!!
“The quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little and it will fail. But hope remains, if friends stay true.”
